Position description:

American Guardian Warranty Services, Inc. (AGWS), an affiliate of Reynolds and Reynolds, is seeking a Data Analyst for our growing team at our office in Naperville, IL. In this position you will assist in the evaluation of risks involved in rate development on existing and new products. You will be responsible for analysis and research for internal programs and presenting findings of loss and/or areas of concern to management. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Analyze historical loss and sales data to aide in the development of classification and rates for new contract products and services as well as updating existing programs
- Provide supporting analysis, including recommendations for improvement for identifying programs that generate problems
- Interpret and work with data to produce meaningful reports and provide overall program performance
- Develop and evaluate program trends to identify programs where actions need to be triggered to mitigate loss
- Conduct research on competitive programs and various products and provide analysis illustrating differences to decision makers.
- Assist in the development of rates, pricing/program proposals for new and existing programs.
- Aid in the development of processes that will lead to reduced loss and to evaluate the results of changed procedures.

Requirements:

  • College degree preferably in math, accounting, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis and database experience specific to the automotive insurance and warranty industry
  • 2+ years of experience in the analytical or underwriting field
  • Must be proficient in Power BI and Power Automate
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Excel
  • Advanced mathematics proficiency
  • Strong organization, analysis and presentation skills
