Position description:

Reynolds and Reynolds develops and supports software for automotive retailers, featuring the industry’s only Retail Management System. Our superior software solutions, our award-winning sales, service, and support have made us one of the most recognized and respected companies in the automotive industry. We are looking for an experienced Business Development Representative to sell a specialized set of complimentary solutions to automotive dealerships within a defined territory. You will prospect potential customers in order to demonstrate the features and benefits of products, present proposals, and close deals. If you are a self-motivated, disciplined, and outgoing sales individual that is interested in bettering yourself and becoming an industry leader, this is the position for you!

Responsibilities:
- Promote the sale of Reynolds’ products to automotive dealerships
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Gubagoo, GoMoto, ReconTRAC, AutoVision, and ReverseRisk solutions
- Travel as needed, approximately 50%
- Training with experienced representatives in the field, online courses, and classroom instruction at our headquarters (Dayton, OH)

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years related experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Persuasiveness and sales-closing abilities
  • Experience in new business sales is preferred
  • Automotive industry experience is a plus (Sales Associate, Sales Manager, Internet Sales Manager, or F&I Manager)
  • Willingness to travel, with overnight hotel stays, up to 50%
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, with fewer than 2 moving violations in the last three years and no OVI/DUI/DWI violations in the last five years
