There are three types of documents that can be saved into the Electronic Deal Jacket:

1. Complete electronic documents signed on the docuPAD^® system.
2. Impact-printed documents.
3. Miscellaneous forms, such as a vehicle invoice or pay stub.

Documents presented and signed on the docuPAD system are immediately stored in the Electronic Deal Jacket.

Physical documents printed from an impact printer contain a bar code. These documents are quickly scanned and added directly to the Electronic Deal Jacket at the touch of a button. The information in the bar code provides enough information for the scanning system to recognize the deal it is for and automatically indexes the document with the proper deal in the system, eliminating the time it takes to file the document.

docuPAD provides header and trailer sheets that contain deal information. With the header and trailer sheets, miscellaneous documents — such as a pay stub or driver’s license — can be easily scanned into the Electronic Deal Jacket.
