Day in the Life of a Software Developer
Lucinda works as a software developer.
“What surprised me the most about working for Reynolds and Reynolds is just how much fun I’m having here. It makes me feel really good that we are developing the code because we then gain the expertise. We know the code inside and out. We’re not relying upon somebody else halfway around the world to implement something that we tell them to do.
“We are the lead company in our industry and it’s awesome to work for a company where I don’t have to worry about a competitor coming along and beating us.
“I have a job that is rewarding and enjoyable to go to. I don’t dread Mondays. I work for a company that values me and appreciates my contributions as the developer and I feel like at the end of the day, my work is seen as what’s going to keep our company moving forward.”
Josh is another software developer.
“The training program really helped to lay the groundwork for what you’re going to be doing each day. They guy who trained me was very helpful. Always there, always ready to answer questions.
“Each day is a different project or a different problem you’re trying to solve.”
Nicole is also a software developer.
“A lot of the training was hands-on: here’s some test projects or here are some things we’d like you to work through to get hands-on experience with the code.
“Most of my days are spent actually developing or working towards the development of the code.”
